Mr. Farley is trusting that the letter provided sufficient indication of their interest in the matter so that when Mayor Meier goes to the meeting to vote on the issue, that portion would already be cleared. Mayor Meier Commented the only problem he had with the letter was who 1fJaS going to fund the study, and as to the exact date it will be accomplished. APPROVE THE TRANSPORTATION PLAN Mayor Meier moved, Councilman Fauson seconded that council approve the transportation plan with DRCOG's intention toward the feasibility study. Mayor Meier advised he had a copy of the plan if any of the counci1members wished to read it. Councilman Leary Commented it was his feeling the letter did not reflect what was asked in the motion passed by council. The motion stated speci- fically that we should have indication that it is going to be in U.P.W.P., which would then confirm who would pay for the study - DRCOG. However, if other members felt it was all right he would defer to their judge- ment. Director Rupp Remarked the the feeling he got when he spoke with Dave Pampu was that they didn't want to submit anything strictly to Louisville because it is a joint type thing involving Broomfield also. They also stated they could not include it in the plan without taking it back to the T.A.C. and other committees, and it was com- ing up for adoption by January 19, 1983. Mr. Pampu was asking if this letter would be, at this time, an indication of their expressed desire to work with us. However, the fund- ing was not discussed as they would like to be certain that the County and Broomfield are in agreement. Councilman Leary Remarked the Unified Planning Work Program is just a document that says these are the studies we are going to do this year and the planning activities we are going to engage in and this is how many F.T.E. are going to be commited to doing.
