<br />City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />January 6, 2009 <br />Page 3 of 16 <br /> <br />· In response to Ms. Morgan's question, the cost of a City Gateway sign is <br />approximately $5,000. The City will explore other options through the <br />Design Consultant. <br />· He introduced Rhonda Welborn, the City's new Executive Assistant to the <br />City Administrator. <br />· Library Director Recruitment Process: He will appoint Aimee Shumm as <br />Interim Library Director when current Library Director Anne Mojo retires <br />later this month. Based on the small number of applicants for the Library <br />Director, the City may consider a recruitment agency to assist. <br />· The US Post Office Service conducted a meeting at the Recreation Center <br />to assist in the transition from the downtown Post Office facility to the <br />McCaslin facility. They may consider adding another contract facility in <br />the downtown area. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk noted Architect Peter Stewart has filed his application to fill a position <br />on the Historic Preservation Commission. Mayor Sisk requested this <br />appointment be made on the January 20, 2009 City Council Consent Agenda. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br />2008 AMENDMENT OF THE 2005 CITY WIDE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br /> <br />1) RESOLUTION No.2, SERIES 2009 - A RESOLUTION APPROVING <br />THE 2008 AMENDMENT OF THE 2005 CITY WIDE COMPREHENSIVE <br />PLAN - Public Hearing - Continued from 12/2/08 (formerly <br />Resolution No. 60, Series 2008) <br /> <br />2) ORDINANCE No. 1546, SERIES 2009 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />SECTION 17.64.050 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE <br />REGARDING REVIEW AND UPDATING OF THE COMPREHENSIVE <br />PLAN - 1st Reading - Set Public Hearing 1/20109 <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a City Attorney introduction. <br /> <br />City Attorney Light read Ordinance No. 1546, Series 2009. He explained this is <br />the first reading of the ordinance and a public hearing will be set, but members of <br />the public may comment on Ordinance No. 1546, Series 2009 and Resolution <br />No.2, Series 2009. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk reopened the public hearing and requested a Staff presentation. <br />
