City Manager Fleming stated those <br />facilities will be open as well as the Police Department and other City 24/7 <br />operations. <br /> <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br /> <br />NOVEMBER-DECEMBER ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT UPDATE <br />BECKY HOGAN, EDGE CONSULTING <br /> <br />Becky Hogan, EDge Consulting, 56 Steele Street, Denver, CO updated Council <br />on November and December economic developments in Louisville. She reported <br />on 2008 business retention efforts and noted Council will receive a written report <br />on those efforts. January was a busy month relative to new business' interest in <br />locating in Louisville. On January 14, 2009 local businesses met to attend a <br />program entitled "How to shine in 2009". It was an opportunity for local <br />businesses to network. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE No. 1546, SERIES 2009 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />SECTION 17.64.050 OF THE lOUISVlllE MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING <br />REVIEW AND UPDATING OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN - PUBLIC <br />HEARING <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Marsella requested a City Attorney introduction. <br /> <br />City Attorney Light read Ordinance No. 1546, Series 2009. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Marsella opened the public hearing and requested a Staff <br />presentation. <br /> <br />Planning Director Wood explained Ordinance No. 1546, Series 2009, if <br />authorized, amends Section 17.64.050 of the Louisville Municipal Code regarding <br />the review and updating of the comprehensive plan. The approved 2009 <br />Comprehensive Plan update was amended to require a review every four years <br />rather than the two year intervals stated as part of the 2005 Plan. Ordinance No. <br />1546, Series 2009 provides the next update will be completed by December 31, <br />2012 and subsequent updates will be completed by December 31, every fourth <br />year thereafter. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Marsella requested public comment and hearing none closed the <br />public comment. <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilor Clabots moved to approve Ordinance No. 1546, Series <br />2009, seconded by Councilor Dalton. Roll call vote was taken. The motion <br />passed by a vote of 5-0. Absent: Mayor Sisk and Councilor Yarnell. <br />
