<br />City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />February 17, 2009 <br />Page 8 of 8 <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tem Marsella reminded Council and the public of the March 4, 2009, <br />Consortium of Cities Revenues Stability Forum. She urged Council to attend. <br /> <br />Councilor Muckle reported DRCOG has been meeting to discuss how to <br />distribute funds from the 2009 Stimulus package. He requested Deputy City <br />Manager Balser update Council on the City's view of receiving funds. <br /> <br />Deputy City Manager Balser reported the Public Works Department submitted <br />three applications for 2009 Stimulus Package funds, which will be filtered through <br />DRCOG and COOT. One application was for $1 million dollars for an overlay; <br />another application is for the final design of the underpass at McCaslin Boulevard <br />and a third application for $1 million dollars for the construction of the underpass. <br />The funding must proceed within 120 days to bid. The City will know within six <br />weeks if funding is granted. <br /> <br />Councilor Muckle noted the purpose of the funding was to build new <br />infrastructure projects that will put people to work. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk reported he was honored to be present in Denver today and attend <br />the ceremony where President Obama signed the 2009 Stimulus package. <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilor Dalton moved for adjournment, seconded by Councilor <br />Sackett. All in favor. The meeting was adjourned at 8:24 p.m. " <br /> <br /> <br />
