Taft, Louisville, CO invited the Mayor, City Council, City
Staff and members of the public to the Louisville Arts Center Dream reception,
which will be held at the Arts Center on Sunday May 3,2009, at 6:00 p.m. The
Senior Design Class of the Architecture School at CU/Boulder has taken on a
project of providing a series of possible designs for an art center that would fit
into the Louisville Urban Renewal area. Seven teams will present their designs
to an adjudicated team and then give a short presentation to the public. The
public can then vote for each design on a scale of 1 to 5. Based on the vote, the
LCC will give cash awards to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placing designs.

Alan Sobel, 1408 Kennedy Avenue, Louisville, CO addressed issues with
Comcast Cable Television and asked why the City does not enforce Ordinance
No. 1489 and the Cable Customer's Bill of Rights. He felt the municipal
government protects the interest of Comcast but not the interests of its citizens.
He reported at a recent GMTC meeting where discussion included Comcast's
written notice of changes to its subscribers. He was prohibited from presenting
evidence and because no evidence was presented, Comcast was not restricted
in its notice process.
