<br />City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />May 5, 2009 <br />Page 11 of 12 <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENT <br /> <br />Councilor Dalton asked if the Louisville Revitalization Commission had any <br />objections to adding overpass to the study. Mayor Sisk stated they do not. <br /> <br />Councilor Muckle requested the study include an evaluation of the Short Street <br />Corridor's impact on historic structures. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk was enthusiastic about connecting old town with the revitalization <br />area and noted there may be stimulus dollars available to proceed. He <br />encouraged Council to move forward with the study. <br /> <br />Councilor Sackett supported the study but noted the Sports Complex parking lot <br />is fairly full in the spring and summer months. <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayor Sisk moved to authorize the issuance of Statements of <br />Qualifications with the addition of an overpass, and recognition of preservation of <br />historic structures, seconded by Councilor Dalton. Roll call vote was taken. The <br />motion carried by a vote of 7-0. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE No. 1549, SERIES 2009 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />SECTION 2.64.020 OF THE lOUISVlllE MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING <br />APPOINTMENTS TO THE lOUISVlllE LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES - <br />1 ST READING - SET PUBLIC HEARING 5/19/09 <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a City Attorney introduction. <br /> <br />City Attorney Light read Ordinance No. 1549, Series 2009. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation. <br /> <br />City Manager Fleming reported with the approval of the IGA with the Town of <br />Superior for library services, an ordinance is required to appoint a Town of <br />Superior representative to the Louisville Library Board of Trustees. <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilor Dalton moved to approve Ordinance No. 1549, Series 2009 <br />on first reading, ordered it published and set the public hearing for May 19, 2009, <br />seconded by Councilor Sackett. All in favor. <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />City Attorney Light reported the Council will receive a litigation report on the <br />Hamon case. He noted the Court of Appeals ruling was in the favor of a former <br />employee. He noted there are a few items still on appeal. <br />
