Resolution No. 15, Series 2009 - A Resolution Adopting a Red <br />Flag Policy and Establishing an Identity Theft Prevention Program <br />for the City of Louisville <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA <br /> <br />Dick Lynton, 494 Lois Drive, Louisville, CO asked if residents are able to opt out <br />of the citywide single trash program and whether placing a vacation hold on the <br />service is available. <br /> <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON <br />THE AGENDA <br /> <br />City Manager Fleming responded to Mr. Lynton's questions and reported there <br />will be an Open House on the citywide single trash hauler program, on Tuesday, <br />May 12, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. at the Recreation Center. He explained currently <br />there is not a way to opt out of the program or for vacation holds. Through the bid <br />process, a certain number of households were required to make the program <br />cost effective. If some residents were able to opt out, it would mean higher prices <br />for the rest of the residents. However, City staff is exploring options for vacation <br />holds and some form of financial assistance for households that meet income <br />criteria. <br /> <br />Councilor Muckle arrived to the meeting at 7:04 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk reminded everyone the John Breaux Cleanup Day is May 9. The <br />Elk's Club will prepare breakfast and the Coal Creek Rotary Club will help man <br />the four collection stations. John Breaux's brother, David Bright has been busy <br />circulating the event posters to Louisville residents. The John Breaux Committee <br />met for a second time and will be making a recommendation to City Council. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br /> <br />City Manager Fleming reported on the following: <br /> <br />· Susan Dellinger is the City's new GIS Coordinator. Susan brings <br />significant GIS experience, having worked twelve years in the Steamboat <br />Springs area. He noted the GIS component will be a very valuable tool for <br />the City. <br /> <br />· The Parks and Recreation Department received a $56,000 grant from the <br />Department of Local Affairs, which will be used to provide materials for <br />Pirates and Annette Brand Parks.
