City Council
Meeting Minutes
June 2, 2009

Howard Zremp, 1215 Centaur Court, Lafayette, CO stated it is a privilege for
communities to receive PEG fees and noted he pays PEG fees in Broomfield.

Jeanette Ashera, 723 Mead Street, Louisville, CO stated she pays PEG fees.

Kathy Metzger, 804 LaFarge Avenue, Louisville, CO stated she pays PEG fees in
Louisville. She supported the continuation of PEG fees.

COUNCIL COMMENTS

Mayor Pro Tem Marsella requested information about how other cities split PEG
fees with citizen TV.

Councilor Yarnell supported continuing PEG fees and splitting with the citizen
CCTV 54 in some fashion.

Mayor Sisk supported continuing the PEG fees and stated the split would be
dependent upon the City's budget.

Deputy City Manager Balser noted PEG fees are for capital expenses only.

MOTION: Councilor Sackett moved Council authorize Comcast to continue the
PEG fee of 50 cents for Louisville Comcast subscribers for the purpose of a
Replacement Capital Contribution for the City of Louisville, seconded by
Councilor Yarnell. Roll call vote was taken. The motion carried by a vote of 7-0.

ORDINANCE No. 1550, SERIES 2009 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING LMC
SECTION 17.10.165 RECREATIONAL VEHICLE PARKING _1st Reading-
Set Public Hearing 6/16/09

Mayor Sisk requested a City Attorney introduction.

City Attorney Light read Ordinance No. 1550, Series 2009.

Mayor Sisk explained the Planning Commission disapproved the resolution of
support by a vote of 5 - 1. Planning Director Wood explained, with the exception
of the Chairman, the balance of the Planning Commission opposed amending
the current code. They were reluctant to reopen this matter, in light of the
extensive public process last year. They stated the amendment was not based
upon a compelling issue of public health, or due to a problem related to
enforcement. Chairman Lipton voted for the amendment based upon a
modification, which may enable neighbors to mitigate the visual impacts of
parking an RV or trailer on a common property boundary.
