For 2009, six sites in Old Town were <br />recognized for their historic preservation efforts. She introduced Commission <br />Chairperson Stephen Whiteman who presented the following awards. <br /> <br />. Preservation of a Commercial Building <br />Garrett McCarthy, Old Louisville Inn, 740 Main Street - built circa 1906 <br /> <br />· Preservation of a Residential Building <br />John Northnagle & Kim Narlock, 1145 Main Street - built circa 1908 <br /> <br />. Preservation of a Residential Building <br />Ronald & Linda Knutson, 823 Garfield Avenue - built circa 1913 <br /> <br />. Adaptive Reuse <br />Erik Hartronft, Lou DellaCava, and Neil Lubar, 801 Main Street, built 1905 <br /> <br />. Historically Sensitive Addition <br />George & Melissa Crutcher, 841 Lincoln Avenue, built circa 1910 <br /> <br />. Preservation of an Historic Element <br />Melinda Pasquini, Brendan McManus, and Jim Cohan, Empire Lounge <br />Neon Sign, 816 Main Street <br /> <br />The Historic Preservation Commission awarded Public Relations Manager Muth <br />with a plaque in appreciation for her work as the City's liaison to the Historic <br />Preservation Commission since its inception. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION No. 20, SERIES 2009 - A RESOLUTION ENACTING <br />PROVISIONS RELATED TO ADMINISTRATION AND USES OF THE <br />HISTORIC PRESERVATION FUND, AND ESTABLISHING REQUIREMENTS <br />AND PROCEDURES APPLICABLE TO THE FUNDING OF INCENTIVES FOR <br />HISTORIC PRESERVATION PURPOSES- <br /> <br />Mayor Sisk requested a Staff presentation. <br /> <br />Public Relations Manager Muth explained in November of 2008, Louisville voters <br />authorized the imposition of a one-eighth of one percent (0.125%) sales tax to <br />provide revenues for historic preservation purposes. In December of 2008 the <br />City Council approved Ordinance No. 1544, Series 2008 imposing the new sales <br />tax and creating a special Historic Preservation Fund for those proceeds. The <br />ordinance specified the funds were to be spent exclusively on historic <br />preservation. Resolution No. 20, Series 2009 enacts the provision needed for the <br />
