The
problem is getting the agreement drafted to
meet our approval.

Councilman Leary

Inquired how much money was the City putting
into the project.
Administrator Wurl advised 34% - $522,000.
Leary remarked the City was getting $493,000
less than the specs called for.
Wurl advised what the City had asked for was
the very best in several areas and this re-
duction did not minimize or impact the cap-
acity or operation of the plant at all.
Leary disagreed stated that the letter said
"the elimination of some of the appurtenances
which were intended for readily accommo-
dating future expansions," etc.
Administrator Wurl cited the electrical at
the present wastewater plant is in dire need
of repair and have everything in place along
with the expansion. Further stated that the
bond issue money is to replace items, but
nothing to do with the additional capacity.
This will solve problems at the existing plant
and still provide items that will be bene-
ficial in the future.

Mayor Meier

Remarked that before plans for the expansion
were proposed the existing plant was within
70% to 80% of capacity, and the Health Dept.
would have notified us that a proposal for
expansion would have to be considered before
the development was considered.
Wurl advised that the City was at 70%, but
the figure was 80%-90% before the Health Dept.
would advise us.

LOUISVILLE ASSOCIATES
WASTEWATER AGREEMENT AND
WESTERN EMPIRE BID AWARD

Council agreed to discuss these two items
at the continued meeting on 12/22/82.
Wurl to have the agreement to councilmembers
for review before the meeting.
If the agreement does not arrive in time,
or if there are further concerns with it,
Wurl will request the meeting be adjourned
and just proceed with the Study Session.
