<br />.EGULAR l1EETING <br /> <br />LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />NOVEl1BER 16, 1982 <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Louisville met: in regular session in the <br />Council Chambers, 749 l1ain Street, Louisville, Colorado. Mayor Norbert Meier <br />called the meeting to order at 7:31 P.M. M.S.T. There being present at <br />the call of the roll the following persons: <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBERS: <br /> <br />John Leary, l1ichael Cussen, Susan Morris, Don <br />Cummings, Dennis Ferrera, and Herman Fauson <br /> <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br /> <br />Leon A. Wurl, City Administrator <br />Curt Rautenstraus, City Attorney <br />William Hesson, City Treasurer <br />John Rupp, Director of Community Development <br />August Hioco, Director of Community Services <br />Rod Leesman, Director of Public Safety <br />David Blanchard, City Engineer <br />Sharon Caranci, Chief Accountant <br />Cleo Mudrock, City Clerk <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES <br /> <br />Hayor Heier and council approved the minutes <br />of the regular meeting of November 3, 1982 <br />as presented. <br /> <br />ITEMS ENCLOSED <br /> <br />Councilman Fauson moved, Councilman Ferrera <br />seconded that the items enclosed be accepted <br />and brought up under the proper head of <br />business. Question called for. All in favor. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />COUNCIL ITEMS <br />ROYAL OIL CO. - 3.2% BEER <br />LICENSE RENEWAL <br />APPROVAL <br /> <br />Attorney Rautenstraus advised that the appli- <br />cation was in order. <br />Councilwoman Morris moved, Councilman Cussen <br />seconded that the Royal Oil Co. 3.2% Beer <br />License renewal be approved. Question called <br />for. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />BOARD OF APPEALS &~D ADJUST- <br />MENT ASSOCIATE MEMBER APPOINT- <br />MENT <br /> <br />Mayor and councilmembers had a copy of a <br />letter from the Chairman of the Board of <br />Appeals and Adjustments to reco~~end appoint- <br />ment of Norm Laurence to fill the Associate <br />Member vacancy. <br /> <br />Councilman Leary <br /> <br />Inquired if this vacancy had been advertised. <br />He was informed that it was not. <br />Leary felt it was not appropriate to make <br />the appointment without advertising the vacancy; <br />since, in his opinion, this Board has a quasi <br />judicial function they should not necessarily <br />make recommendations to Council as to whom <br />should be appointed. He also felt persons <br />seeking the appointment should provide more <br />information. <br />
