10/19/82

Page -10-

RESOLUTION #34 - HILLSIDE
SQUARE -

Attorney Rautenstraus read the resolution
in its entirety, and counci1members had
a copy.

Director Rupp

Reported that the subdivisio n agreement had
been signed by the developer and the project
is to begin later this month. HUD had approved
the plat for the construction, and the developer
estimates completion in 6-7 months, at which
time the property would be turned over to
the City Housing Authority in the summer of
1983. The project is a 13 unit townhouse
project, located on the south side of South
Boulder Road, zoned high density residential,
and consists of 1.38 acres. He advised that
the plat met all the requirements of the code
and the recommendation was for approval.

Mayor Meier

Wished clarification if the units would be
rentals, understood they could be purchased.
Director Rupp advised they would be owned
by the Housing Authority and rented to people
in Louisville, but could not be purchased.

unci1man Leary

Commented he too was of the opinion that it
would be low-income housing, and they would
pay a lower rent than they would normally have
as a subsidy.
Councilman Leary inquired if there was a
deadline from HUD when the project is to be
completed.
Rupp advised the contract did not specify
a specific closing date.

Councilman Cussen

Wished to confirm that the irrigation system
for the landscaping would be included in the
improvement exhibit.
Rupp stated that it would definitely be a part
of the project.

Councilwoman Morris

Inquried about exhibit A which was mentioned
in the subdivision agreement.
Attorney Rautenstraus advised often exhibits
for improvements are not included until the
plat has been approved. He further advised
that building permits could not issued until
exhibit A has gone through the Engineering
Dept.
