10/5/82

Page -11-

Dennis Knowlton
955 W. Plum Circle

Remarked, as Council was aware, there was
a litigation suit against the City regarding
the Neodata proposal. He stated that he asked
why more people from his neighborhood did not
attend the Council meeting and the reason they
gave was the last vote taken by the Council
on the issue indicated they would be wasting
their time. At the Council meetings he had
attended on the Neodata issue the vote has
been 4-3, with very little discussion by
4 members - Mr. Meier, Mr. Cummings, Mr.
Ferrera, and Mr. Fauson. Stated as a concerned citizen he
would like to know what the reason
Mayor Meier reminded the gentleman - he was
out of order.

Councilman Ferrera

Commented he felt he had stated his reasons
previously at both the City Council and Planning
Commission meetings on the issues. This issue
will be dealt with again at the next City
Council meeting and at that time will state
why we are voting for or :against the issue.
He felt that Neodata had made a sincere
effort to minimize the impact of the area;
that they are trying to work with the citizens;
and that they will be an asset to the whole
Community. This was the reason he was voting
for the issue.

Councilman Cummings

Addressed his comments to two of the gentlemen
in the audience stating that at the previous
meeting they had attended, he had addressed
four people point for point, question for
question.
