<br />Councilman Leary <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE OF THE CITY <br />ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br />WATER TRUCK - AWARD BIDS <br />ON TRUCK & LEASE <br /> <br />Mayor Meier <br /> <br />7/6/82 <br /> <br />Page -6- <br /> <br />Rautenstraus advised regarding land ac- <br />quisition. <br /> <br />Councilman Cussen moved, Councilman Fauson <br />seconded that Council have an executive <br />session on an Attorney/Client basis to <br />deal with land acquisition. <br /> <br />Commented that at sometime when a decision <br />is made or a decision not made on the nego- <br />tiations that Council essentially do explain <br />what these negotiations were and the action <br />taken to the public. He felt at that time <br />it was th@ir right to know. Wished to know <br />of Council's agreement or support to do this. <br />Mayor and Counci1members expressed their sup- <br />port of Councilman Leary's wishes. <br /> <br />Question called for on the motion. All in <br />favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilman Fauson moved, Councilman Ferrera <br />seconded the City Attorney's report be ac- <br />cepted and placed on file. Question called <br />for. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Counci1members had a copy of the bids sub- <br />mitted and recommendation from Chief Accoun- <br />tant Caranci for leasing company. <br />Administrator 1Nur1 advised Council had author- <br />ized staff to call for bids on the water <br />truck and leasing of the same. Recom- <br />mendation was that the water truck bid be <br />awarded to Mountain Truck & Equipment Co. <br />in the amount of $20,934.78 - the low bidder. <br />Wur1 recommended a lease purchase from Colo- <br />rado National Leasing Co. <br /> <br />Commented there seemed to be some confusion <br />as to the lease purchase or direct purchase <br />of the water truck. It was his understand- <br />ing this would be a direct purchase from <br />the Jacobs/Kahan open space funds. <br />Discussion by Council regarding direct pur- <br />chase versus lease/purchase. <br />Administrator lNur1 recommended lease/purchase <br />based on the budget in terms of the cash <br />flow, etc. it would make it easier on the <br />City if we extl~nded the payments. He fur- <br />ther commented it would depend on Council's <br />
