The <br />price of the water truck would be approxi- <br />mately 20 to 25% more if leased. He also <br />felt that during the budget cycle Council <br />attempt to takE~ this course to make the <br />City more fiscally solvent. <br />Administrator ~vurl stated that open space <br />funds are difficult to accumulate and if <br />Council wishes to continue these purchases <br />they may need to be very cautious pertinent <br />to any funds for open space acquisition. <br /> <br />Councilman Cussen <br /> <br />Suggested perhaps the purchase of the water <br />truck be delayed until the July 20th meeting. <br /> <br />Councilman Leary <br /> <br />Inquired if the bid on the water truck <br />would still be firm in two more weeks. <br />Director Hioco stated that they would have to <br />call for new bids as this bid was only <br />firm until July 14th 1982. <br />Chief Account Caranci advised that the leas- <br />ing bid was firm until July 21st. <br /> <br />Suggested that this item be delayed until <br />after the Executive Session and then be con- <br />sidered. <br /> <br />Councilman Ferrera <br /> <br />DELAY WATER TRUCK BID <br /> <br />Councilwoman Morris moved, Mayor Meier <br />seconded the water truck bid be delayed <br />until after the Executive Session. Question <br />called for. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />WATER RATE - REBATE <br /> <br />Each councilmember had a copy of a memo <br />submitted by Attorney Rautenstraus relating <br />to the water rate rebate for elderly citizens. <br />Administrator Wurl suggested the following <br />table for people 65 years of age and older: <br />
