Mark Ghering - Project Manager
for Storer Cable TV

Councilman Cussen

~tion for City Attorney
_0 draft letter of non-com-
liance

AUTHORIZATION

Councilman Morris

Mayor Meier

4/20/82

Page ,.18-

van to the City. Other complaints that
he had received was that the cable had
not been buried in residents' yards or
in the parks. Regal Square also had no
service.

Reported that the Spruce Apartments would
get service within a week - there is still
a mix-up on the paperwork with the Garfield
Apartments - Regal Square Complex needed to
be redesigned - would be another 2 months.
The Company had replaced most of the sod
in the parks and buried cable in residents
yards.

Stated he found most of Mr. Ghering's re-
sponses totally unacceptable. The company
should have forseen the problems with the
apartment complexes by getting the agree-
ments earlier. It was his opinion the
City had been very lenient with the company
by granting the many extensions; therefore
he moved that the City Attorney serve notice
to Storer Cable TV that they are in non-
compliance of the agreement of September, 1980
and following 10 days notice of this, Storer
Cable TV demonstrate that they are in com-
pliance, and if not that Council enact
Section 32 and 33 which states that Storer
Cable TV 'will be fined $200 per day.
Councilman Leary seconded the motion.
Question called for. All in favor. Motion
carried unanimously.

Advised for those that are not aware, there
will be a neighborhood meeting, specifically
for the residents of Hillsborough West, Mesa
Point and Continental View Estates, on Sat-
urday, April 24, 1982 at 2:00 P.N. at the
B.S.C.S. building regarding Neodata. She
wished to invite anyone else from the City
that was interested to attend.

Thanked Director Hioco for a very successful
Arbor Day celebration and all those who par-
ticapted. Asked everyone to observe the
Tree City USA flag flying outside the building.

Advised that the Lottery Bill had passed
the legislature and we were looking forward
to the revenues for parks and open space.
