If the fees at the landfill are increased sufficiently by the County Commissioners the problem can be resolved. Requested Director Rupp provide Council with an up-date on the oil and gas drilling within the City and what they have found. Director Rupp reported he had heard mixed comments about what they have discovered. Councilwoman Horris inquired if the com- panies had to give Rupp a finalized re- port of their findings. Rupp reported his department has been monitoring the operations and to date none have been finalized. Councilwoman }furris had been contacted by one of the people in her Ward asking to whom the flowE~rs are sent, what they are for, and how it is determined to whom they are sent. Administrator Wurl advised employees that are hospitalized, or a member of council, or their husband, or wife - flowers are sent. Flmt7ers are also sent for funerals. Reported the Consortium of Cities will be meeting Harch 17, 1982 at 7:30 P.M. in the Planning Commission Hearing Room, West Wing of the Courthouse. He and Councilman Leary will be attending and invited other members of staff and council to attend. Councilman Cussen moved, Councilwoman Morris seconded the council comments and committee reports be accepted and placed on file. Question called for. All in favor. Motion carried. In the absence of City Treasurer Hesson, Chief Accountant Caranci read the bills in the amount of $105,935.34. Councilman Cwmmings moved, Councilman Cussen seconded the bills be approved and checks issued for the same. Question called for. All in favor. Hotion Carried unanimously.
