<br />1/5/82 <br /> <br />Page -9- <br /> <br />Councilman Cummings <br /> <br />Remarkedre: the Little League Programs, <br />there was no payment of instructors, and <br />realized that the deficit in this program <br />was due to equipment, which could be moni- <br />tored more closely with the new inventory. <br />It was his opinion that the out-of-city <br />resident participants enrolled because of <br />the quality of the program rather than the <br />price, and it was his opinion they would <br />stay in the program if the fees were raised. <br /> <br />Councilman Fauson <br /> <br />Inquired if the in-city residents were given <br />preference in the various programs. <br />Director Hioco advised that they were. <br /> <br />Roll call vote on the motion by Councilman Brown <br />Fauson No <br />Cummings Yes <br />DelPizzo No <br />Brown Yes <br />Meier No <br />Domenico No <br />Motion defeated 4-2. <br /> <br />PARKS FEES - DEFEATED <br /> <br />~ ::ilman Meier <br /> <br />Remarked that the next meeting of Council <br />would be January 11, 1982 and wished to express <br />his sincere thanks to the present Mayor and <br />Council. There were one of the best bodies <br />of men he had the privlege with whom to work; <br />appreciated everyone's time, help, and con- <br />sideration. Hi.s term with them was a pleasant <br />one and hopefully they will remain active <br />in the City. <br /> <br />Councilman Domenico <br /> <br />Remarked that he heard rumors that some <br />of the new Councilmembers have been attending <br />secret meetings and they should be reminded <br />of the Code of Ethics. <br /> <br />Mayor Caranci <br /> <br />Wished to thank all members of Council, staff, <br />City Attorney, Water Attorney Williamson, for <br />their support and hoped all would continue in <br />the future. <br />He remarked that he read in the paper where <br />there is another petition being circulated <br />in the City. It seems as if when this Council <br />acted on something and a petition is circu- <br />lated, it costs the citizens $4,000 to $5,000 <br />for another election; but it never ceases to <br />amaze me how this city survived in the past <br />without the Citizens Participating in Louis- <br />ville's Future, and it was his opinion they <br />did a very good job for the many years they <br />
