City Council
Study Session Summary
February 22, 2022
Councilmember Most stated she and Councilmember Fahey attended a neighborhood
meeting yesterday. There was a lot of confusion about what the FEMA reimbursement
for debris removal means to people and their insurance coverage. Many people are
saying if they can't get their foundations done in the coordinated process they may do
debris removal on their own.
Mayor Stolzmann stated the City and Superior have submitted an application to FEMA
for local economic recovery assistance and we are asking for a quick review of the
application.
Councilmember Most would like more targeted communications.
City Manager Durbin stated staff is working on a joint message from Superior and the
County on debris removal saying exactly where we are and what is coming next.
Mayor Pro Tern Maloney agreed people are looking for more certainty and it is just hard
to give people that, we simply don't have the answers right now.
Adjourned 9:49 am.
Submitted 2122122 Meredyth Muth
