Caleb Dickinson
Councilmember Deb Fahey
Councilmember Chris Leh
Councilmember Maxine Most
Staff Present: Jeff Durbin, City Manager
Meredyth Muth, City Clerk
City Manager Durbin gave an update on fire recovery.
• Priorities this week continue to the communications and the debris removal
contract.
• Retaining walls are a particularly complicated item and we don't have many
answers on those yet.
• The debris removal contract with DRC and the County is still being held up
because of the law suit. A hearing is set for 3/18 and what happens there affects
next steps.
• The two protests to the County contracting process have been resolved.
• The State has agreed to help with cash flow for the debris removal . There will
be an intergovernmental agreement (IGA) with Boulder County and the State to
have the State provide funding to the County for the payment of invoices up front
and then the State will get reimbursed when FEMA money comes in. The City
will pay our 12% of costs.
• There will be an IGA between Boulder County, Superior, and Louisville for the
debris removal contract regarding how the contract and payments will work. That
IGA could come to Council for consideration as early as March 15.
• We are working on a communication on what homeowners can expect with the
debris removal process. There are a lot of details we need to communicate such
as how to keep hardscape if you want to, what will and will not be removed, how
trees will be handled, etc. so we want to help people prepare for the process.
City of Louisville
City Council 749 Main Street Louisville CO 80027
303.335.4536 (phone) 303.335.4550 (fax) www.LouisvilleCO.gov
