City Council
Study Session Summary
April 11, 2022
• Staff has been meeting with the various private utilities (Xcel, Comcast, Century
Link). After PPDR is complete the utilities will move in next to restore their
infrastructure so it is available for rebuilds.
• For the neighborhoods where people are living but the streetlights are not
working we are working on temporary lights.
• The dog off leash area fence is a current a priority. Staff received no bids on the
project. We are trying to determine if we should rebid it or if we can do it
internally.
• The contractor for Davidson Mesa trail work is on site.
• We are expanding the communications strategy to include video.
Councilmember Leh asked if staff can put out some communications about what to
expect with heavy equipment and noise associated with the PPDR.
Councilmember Fahey asked if the dog park safe for dogs that will return on command
as the fence is not I place. City Manager Durbin stated it is currently closed to all dogs.
The concern is that other public will think it is open and there is no containment without
the fence. Also, the fence remnants that are there could be a danger to the dogs.
Adjourned 9:44 am.
Submitted 4112122 Meredyth Muth
