Sustainability Advisory Board Agenda <br />May 18, 2022 <br />Colorado is offering cities the option to continue their own programs or <br />align with the state program, which includes a greenhouse gas and <br />waste inventory. Cities in Boulder County are deciding if they want to <br />align with the state program or continue to do a local and state <br />program. Kayla will send information about the state program to the <br />commercial subcommittee for feedback. The state program is more <br />rigorous and the PACE fellow may be able to help businesses comply <br />with the state program in 2023. Certification for this program will be <br />through the state. Lev asked if he could support the commercial <br />subcommittee. Seth said the group will need to do more outreach. <br />Megan added that it would make sense to have a calendar. Kayla <br />mentioned that we need to discuss subcommittee meetings and how <br />they work. Lev said he wants to help LSAB more and suggested he <br />focus on agricultural topics and water. <br />8. Discussion Item: LSAB Survey Responses, Group Agreements and <br />Proposed Changes to Bylaws 7:30 PM <br />Kayla thanked the group for filling out the survey. She said it was great to get <br />to know each member a little more. She shared the expectations from slide 15 <br />in the packet. Kayla said each City's boards act a little bit differently and the <br />City Clerk helped to create and review the expectations in the document. <br />Kayla said she will provide open and transparent communication. The <br />Coordinator's work plan comes from the City Manager's Office and City <br />Council. She is committing to reply promptly to LSAB emails and requests. <br />She will advocate for LSAB's ideas to City staff, including budget requests. <br />Lev asked if the board will have regular meetings with Council and added that <br />this would be very helpful. Kayla said that right now the process is for <br />information to go through the Coordinator to City staff and Council. Tiff said <br />that the group used to have meetings with individual Council members. Deb <br />Fahey (in attendance on Zoom) mentioned that dinners with advisory boards <br />happened in the past, before Covid. She said she prefers to attend individual <br />board meetings. Todd suggested the group get creative about how to <br />communicate with Council and City Manager's office. Kayla said the group <br />0 <br />
