Sustainability Advisory Board Agenda <br />May 18, 2022 <br />said he knows a company that uses all electric equipment for their <br />mowing work. He will reach out to someone who has franchised. <br />Megan said we should talk with the company in Fort Collins to see how <br />their business is working. Todd suggested we give one commercial <br />landscaper in Louisville one mower, one blower and one trimmer for a <br />pilot. He asked if the City would support this idea. Kayla suggested a <br />municipal pilot. Megan asked if the City could own the equipment and <br />loan it out. Tiff asked if we could use bag tax revenue to purchase the <br />lawn equipment. Todd asked if we could fund 50 Home Energy Squad <br />audits or if we could see the Partners in Energy audit spreadsheet to <br />determine the energy efficiency recommendations, instead of funding <br />audits. Megan wondered what information was publicly available. Josh <br />announced the Farmer's Market booth dates — June 4, July 9, August 6 <br />and September 10. Todd asked if there could be a dedicated energy <br />rebate page on the City's sustainability page. Kayla asked LSAB to <br />bring suggestions for website updates to a future meeting. Kayla said <br />she will create a sign up form for Bike, Walk, Wheel and Farmer's <br />Market volunteering. Kayla mentioned that June 1 will be the first <br />rebuilding meeting. <br />ii. Transportation (Dan and Tiff): They announced that Bike, Walk, Wheel <br />Week will be June 19-25. They met with Cammie from Boulder County <br />and Mike Friedman from Pedaling Minds. The week is advertised in the <br />Community Update. The Labor Day parade will have a decarbonization <br />entry to raise awareness for Eco-tober fair. Tiff mentioned to keep <br />LSAB in the loop regarding the regional EV planning. Kayla said the <br />City is deciding if we should move forward with the Xcel planning effort <br />or include this in the scope for the internal decarbonization plan. Lev <br />said we should look at Xcel's plan and see if it's equitable and be sure <br />it doesn't create poor air quality for another community. <br />iii. Commercial (Seth and Megan): Seth gave an update on the green <br />business meeting, where the group met Jenn Dingman, the new PACE <br />fellow. He said that overall membership in Louisville's Green Business <br />Program is down. This year the group will focus on minority owned <br />businesses and small business retrofits.
