7. Any wastewater which results in the presence of toxic gases,
vapors or fumes within the POTW in a quantity that may cause acute worker health
and safety problems;
8. Any trucked or hauled pollutants, including but not limited
to, commercial, industrial or domestic generated wastes, except in accordance with
section 13.32.030(D) of this chapter. .
9. Noxious or malodorous liquids, gases, solids, or other
wastewater which, either singly or by interaction with other wastes, are sufficient
to create a public nuisance or a hazard to life, or to prevent entry into the sewers for
maintenance or repair;
10. Detergents, surface -acting agents, or other substances that
might cause excessive foaming in the POTW;
11. Medical wastes, except as specifically authorized by the
Superkkn City Manager or their designee in a wastewater discharge permit;
12. 4& Wastewater which imparts color which cannot be removed
by the treatment process, such as, but not limited to, dye wastes and vegetable
tanning solutions, which consequently imparts color to the treatment plant's
effluent, thereby violating the city's NPDES permit;
13. 44-. Any wastewater containing any radioactive wastes or
isotopes of such half-life or concentration as may exceed limits established by
applicable state or federal regulations;
14. 42L. Any substance which will cause the POTW to violate its
NPDES permit of the receiving water quality standards;
15. 4-3- Any liquids, solids or gases which by reason of their nature
or quantity are, or may be, sufficient either alone or by interaction with other
substances to cause fire or explosion or be injurious in any other way to the POTW
or to the operation of the POTW. At no time shall two successive readings on an
explosion hazard meter, at the point of discharge into the system, or at any point in
the system, be more than five percent nor any single reading over ten percent of the
lower explosive limit (LEL) of the meter. Prohibited materials include, but are not
limited to, gasoline, kerosene, fuel oil, mineral oil, naphtha, benzene, toluene,
xylene, ethers, alcohols, ketones, aldehydes, peroxides, chlorates, perchlorates,
quantity, either singly or by interaction with other pollutants, to interfere with any
wastewater treatment process, constitute a hazard to humans or animals, create a
toxic effect in the receiving waters of the POTW, to contaminate the sludge of the
POTW, or to exceed the limitation set forth in a categorical pretreatment standards.
