(b) containing only human excrement and similar matter from the <br />sanitary conveniences of dwellings, commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and <br />institutions or combination thereof. <br />Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) means the U.S. Environmental <br />Protection Agency or, where appropriate, the Regional Water Management <br />Division Director, the Regional Administrator, or other duly authorized official of <br />said agency. <br />Existing source user means an industrial user which is in operation at the time <br />of proposal pfomulgatien of categorical pretreatment standards. <br />Fats, oil or grease (FOG) means any hydrocarbons, fatty acids, soaps, fats, <br />waxes, oils and any other material that is extracted by hexane solvent, as specified <br />in 40 CFR 1136.3. <br />Garbage means solid wastes from domestic and commercial preparation, <br />cooking and dispensing of food and from handling, storage and sale of produce. <br />"Properly ground garbage" shall mean the wastes from the preparation, cooking and <br />dispensing of foods that have been ground to such a degree that all particles will be <br />carried freely under the flow conditions normally prevailing in public sewers, with <br />no particles greater than one-half inch in any dimension. <br />Grab sample means a sample that which is taken without regard to the flow in <br />the wastestream and over a period of time f em awaste str-oam en a Effie fi ffle b Sis <br />with no fegard to the flow in the waste str-eam and without eensider-ation of <br />The time it takes to ealleet this sample not to exceed fifteen t15) minutes. <br />Harmful wastes means any solid, liquid, or gaseous substances which would <br />violate the prohibitions contained in this chapter. <br />Hazardous waste means any waste containing substances or characteristics <br />listed as such under 40 CFR § 261.
