City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />May 17, 2022 <br />Page 3 of 10 <br />A navigator program is being created to help fire affected families. This will provide ways <br />to connect with additional state and federal funding, deal with insurance issues, legal <br />services, financial assistance, and many other services. As that program starts <br />information will be pushed out to the community. <br />Staff working on a FAQ for water tap fees and use tax for rebuilding. It is slated to be <br />available early next week. <br />Councilmember Fahey asked if the navigator program is through the Community <br />Foundation. Acting City Manager Davis answered that it is jointly funded through the <br />Community Foundation and Boulder County. <br />Mayor Pro Tern Maloney asked if the number of demolition permits included those in the <br />the PPDR program and if the outstanding demolition permits are being done privately. <br />Acting Manager Davis responded that she is unsure if all the PPDR demolition permits <br />have been processed. She does know that some of the individuals not using PPDR have <br />already come in. <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br />LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL, TRANSGENDER, AND QUEER PRIDE MONTH <br />PROCLAMATION JUNE 2022 <br />Mayor Stolzmann read the proclamation and noted that acceptance and celebration of all <br />people is important to the community and is supported by the City. <br />VOTE: All in favor. <br />DISCUSSION/DIRECTION — FUTURE 42 STUDY <br />Public Works Director Kurt Kowar stated this project has had several public meetings to <br />review various alternatives, bike lanes, and intersections. These included stakeholder <br />meetings that included Louisville, Lafayette, Boulder County, the Colorado Department of <br />Transportation (CDOT) and various commercial entities as well as others along the <br />corridor. They. There will be a recommended alternative at the end of the process. They <br />hope to have protected bike lanes in each direction and two lanes of traffic in each <br />direction between Pine and South Boulder Road. <br />Next steps include bringing back a final plan for Council to adopt. The hope is that will be <br />used to assist in obtaining state and federal funding. <br />Public Comments <br />Mark Cathcart, 1763 Sweet Clover Lane, encouraged the separated bike lane but would <br />like to see how the consultants envision cyclists interacting with traffic at the junctions. <br />
