Champion Literacy <br />The library provides resources and programs to nurture and support multiple literacies. <br />Lifelong Literacy: Offer library and online resources to satisfy curiosity and grow <br />lifelong learning skills among populations of all ages and abilities. <br />• Recently Returned Cart: On storytime days, display a cart of recently returned <br />items so that caregivers who can't go upstairs have a chance to browse the <br />most popular books <br />• Interfile all Adult Fiction genres: Make our collection more browsable and easy <br />to navigate by interfiling adult fiction <br />Offer Diverse Collections: Reflect the diversity of our community and world in our <br />collections and resources. <br />• Use the ARPA budget to increase diversity in our collection by purchasing more <br />Spanish and world language books for all collections <br />Spark Imagination and Learning <br />The library provides resources, technology & programs to inspire lifelong learning. <br />Bring Resources to Life: Deliver programs that encourage creativity, offer hands-on <br />education, and highlight the resources available through the Library. Bring people <br />together to share their knowledge and skills with each other and our community. <br />• Spotlight Resources in Newsletter & Social Media <br />• Provide in person programs to teach patrons to navigate our Ancestry.com <br />database <br />Bigger and Better Summer Reading Program: bring back a more "regular" <br />summer reading program, with lots of events and programs for families and <br />people of all ages to enjoy <br />Provide Creative Spaces: Offer meeting areas and collaborative spaces to foster <br />community interactions. Strive to provide spaces for quiet study and reflection. <br />• Displays and Stack Merchandizing with themed bookmarks <br />• Makerspace: update the vision for the Makerspace to make it a flexible, hands- <br />on learning space for teens and adults <br />
