Kahan advised that the highway im-
provements were scheduled to begin the
spring of 1982 and to be finished 4~ months
before the opening. The least impact area
would be done last.

Asked if there would be any work started
before 1982?
Hr. Kahan advised that the contract had been
let for the wastewater system and should be
in the ground this week. and the money is in
escrow for the work. The grading and drain-
age will start the first of Feb. 1982.
If this work were done before the cost to
the company would increase 20% to 25% - the
carrying charges or interest could amount
to 30% to 40% of the cost of the project.

Hayor Caranci thanked the gentlemen for
coming.

Attorney Joss advised that the application
was in order and was for the yearly renewal
of the A & B Liquor Store - that Council
had the option of approving the application
as presented or have a public hearing.
Councilman Domenico moved that the A & B
Liquor Store license be renewed. Seconded
by Councilman DelPizzo. Question called for.
All in favor. Hotion carried 5-0.

Attorney Joss read the Ordinance by title
only.

Commented that previously three amendments
had been approved to Ordinance #718 and then
the entire ordinance was defeated. Two of
the amendments that had passed were included
in the ordinance as presented; the only one
eliminated was the telephone utility tax
which originally passed by a 4-2 vote by
council. Therefore, he expressed the desire
that council discuss this amendment. His
reason w.as that this would be a minimal
fee to the homeowners but a good source of
revenue for the City's general fund.
