Seconded
by Councilman Heier. All in favor.
Motion carried. .

Director Hioco had provided each
council member with information
regarding chemicals effective
for grasshopper and weed control
and a schedule for implementing
this program. The middle of May
would be the hatching period for
grasshoppers, and spraying could
be done on open space areas.
The City Attorney is working on
an ordinance to spray on private
properties. Attempts would be
made with Boulder County to have
Louisville used as a test area
for the new Nosema chemical, which
is a 78% kill and has a long term
effect on grasshoppers and crickets
only by creating a virus, and is
not harmful to pets.

A copy from the City Engineer was
provided each council member which
outlined alternatives.

Councilman Carnival moved that
alternative #1 recommended by the
Planning Commission - A signal light at
Main St. and South Boulder Road
and no realignment.
