LURA - CITY COUNCIL OINT MEETING FINANCE COMMITTEE CABLE TV UP-DATE APPROVAL CITY ADMINISTRATORS REPORT COUNCIL COHMENTS & CO~~ITTEE REPORTS COUNCILI~N FAUSON Page - At the request of Councilman Cummings Director Rupp contacted the Housing Authority Board and they cordially suggested two dates for the meeting. The joint meeting was set for December 2, 1980 at 6:30 P.M. at City Council Chambers. Finance Conunittee to meet - Monday, 12/1 1980 to review the bills. Joe Tennessen of Storer Cable TV reported that the engineering was just about complete, and they havE~ prepared the first set of strand maps. The target date for the en- gineering to be done is December 15, 1980. They are in the process of getting office space hopefully in the 900 block just off Main St. behind the Travel Agency. They are anticipating a lease agreement for wa~~house facilities at Paclamar Farms, and will work this out with Parks & Rec. Director Hioco. Construction on the actual laying of the cable will begin after the first of the year. There will be no hook-up charge to residents if hook-up is made at the time of installation. Hopefully this will be installed by early spring or the first part of sununer 1981. Councilman Fauson moved that the City Administrator's Report be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Councilman Domenico. All in favor. Hotion carried. Councilman Fauson inquired if the news- paper vending machine would be moved from in front: of the new City Hall. Director Rupp informed him it would see that it would bE~ plac~ed elsewh.ere. Inquired if Twin Peaks Construction had installed the shut-off valve on Lois Drive to alleviate the drainage problem before winter se-ts in. Director Rupp to check on this.
