LOIS DR. <br /> <br />GOLDEN DISPATCHER <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF REPORTS <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF BILLS <br /> <br />Minutes - page 6 <br />October 21, 1980 <br /> <br />Councilman Meier stated that the Denver area <br />has an issue on the ballot as to whether they <br />want to change from DRCOG to a Metro Council. <br />If it goes Metro Council, the City will have <br />to decide what they will want to do as they <br />will not be part of the Council, and this <br />will need to be discussed as to alternatives. <br /> <br />Councilman Meier asked what brought out the <br />W. Spruce St. letter. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that he felt it came from <br />the proposed Joseph annexation which was <br />tabled several months ago. <br /> <br />Councilman Meier stated that he enjoyed the <br />tree program and all the information that <br />was supplied on maintenance. <br /> <br />Councilman Domenico stated that he too enjoyed <br />the educational tree session held by the <br />Parks Dept. for the tree committee. <br /> <br />Councilman Domenico asked that the City try <br />to do some road repair in front of Ray <br />Sears resident at the west end of Lois Dr. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that he would check out the <br />problem and have it taken care of. <br /> <br />Councilman Domenico stated that there should <br />be some types of signs put up near Golden <br />Concrete stating that Lafayette St. is not <br />a through street west of the tracks, as many <br />semi's and trucks are getting stuck in there. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that he would check out the <br />problem and possibly the road could be bladed. <br /> <br />Councilman Domenico moved that the Council <br />comments and committee reports be accepted and <br />placed on file. Seconded by Councilman <br />Meier. Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />City Treasurer Hesson read the bills totalling <br />$110,694.77. Councilman Domenico moved that <br />the bills be approved and checks issued for <br />the same. Seconded by Councilman DelPizzo. <br /> <br />Councilman Carnival asked what dimurage was. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that it is a penalty when the <br />chlorine tanks are not returned at a certain <br />time. <br />The committee noted that the bill should be <br />applied to Public Works instead of Parks & <br />Rec. as the chlorine was given to public works <br />
