<br />COUNCIL COMMENTS CONT'D <br /> <br />GENERATOR AT FILTER PLANT <br /> <br />CENTENNIAL VALLEY MALL <br />ANNOUNCEMENT <br /> <br />CEMETERY CANOPY <br /> <br />NEW CLOCK FOR CITY HALL <br /> <br />Minutes Page - 11 - <br />August 5, 1980 <br /> <br />discovered the pressure reducing valve <br />was malfunctioning, parts had to be <br />ordered for this, when they arrived they <br />were the wrong parts and had to be reordered. <br />City Engineer Blanchard reported the parts <br />had been installed, but there was another <br />malfunction due to a gasket, which has <br />been ordered and next week this will be <br />replaced. <br /> <br />Councilman Meier asked what the status <br />of the generator at the Filter Plant was. <br /> <br />Administrator Wurl reported that quotes <br />were being tabulated for the concrete <br />pedestal base. He will follow up on it. <br /> <br />Councilman Carnival inquired if the <br />Jacobs/Kahan Co. had made an announcement <br />regarding the other major department store. <br /> <br />Administrator Wurl advised he had spoken <br />with Mr. Kahan and the executive committee <br />of the Board of Directors of the company <br />that is going to announce met last week <br />and approved the Louisville location, etc. <br />They asked that the announcement not be <br />released until after the Board has met <br />and they would like to make the announcement. <br /> <br />Councilman DelPizzo expressed his concern <br />and disappointment of the condition the <br />canopy is in due to improper care. He <br />requested that it be repaired and stored <br />properly. <br /> <br />Acting Director of Parks & Recreation <br />Hioco reported the canopy is scheduled <br />to be repaired in two weeks, and if it <br />cannot be repaired it will be replaced. <br />A cover will be purchased, and a new <br />location will be available for storage. <br /> <br />Councilman Fauson requested the gentlemen <br />from the Knights of Pythias be placed <br />first on the a~:Jenda for the next meeting. <br />He also stated that he had been contacted <br />by several people who would like to donate <br />money toward the new clock for the new <br />City Hall. Administrator Wurl advised <br />that he did not have the estimated cost <br />but would have the information by next <br />meeting. <br />
