DIRECTOR <br /> <br />FLOURIDE <br /> <br />PRESSURE VALVE <br />FOR HILLSBORO WEST <br /> <br />Minutes Page - 10 - <br />August 5, 1980 <br /> <br />Administrator Wurl stated the traffic <br />signal study should be completed by <br />the August 19, 190 council meeting. <br /> <br />Administrator Wurl referred to the com- <br />parison sheet on the 4 companies who <br />had submitted proposals. He asked Council <br />to review this and if they wished a <br />Study Session, he would set one. <br />The Attorneys and he had been to Brighton <br />and Loveland to view what they had for <br />Jones and Storer respectively. They <br />had no recommendations at this time. <br /> <br />After discussion, Councilman Carnival <br />requested that staff prepare a recommendation <br />on Cable TV and their justification for <br />that recommendation. <br /> <br />Councilman Domenico moved that the City <br />Administrators report be accepted and <br />placed on file. Seconded by Councilman <br />Carnival. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Councilman Domenico asked if the fire <br />siren would be replaced. <br /> <br />Administrator Wurl advised since the <br />Fire Dept. has formed a district of their <br />own, the City has no jurisdiction. <br /> <br />Councilman Meier reported a large hole <br />at 1163 Franklin in the concrete that <br />goes underneath the sidewalk and the curb, <br />about 2 ft. deep. Perhaps a sewer or <br />water line has settled. <br /> <br />Inquired what the status was on hiring <br />the Parks & Rec. Director. <br /> <br />AdministratorWurl reported that he had <br />received 44 applications - interviewed 7 <br />all of which were very qualified. He <br />planned to make a decision August 6, 1980. <br /> <br />Councilman Meier stated that as of July <br />Boulder County Health Dept. said the flouride <br />content in the water was low. <br />Administrator Wurl stated Boulder County <br />Health Dept. had not notified the City of this. <br /> <br />Councilman Meier asked when the valve had <br />been installed. <br />Administrator Wurl reported the valve was <br />installed the last part of June and then <br />
