MEMBER <br />BOAPill OF ADJUSTMENT AND <br />APPEALS <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 18 <br />PUBLIC SAFETY DAY <br /> <br />AUDIENCE COMMENTS <br />PARKING OF COMMERCIAL <br />VEHICLES <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br />page 2 5/6/80 <br /> <br />Councilman Meier moved that the Tesone <br />Annexation request be referred to Planning <br />Commission for further study. Seconded <br />by Councilman DelPizzo. Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />Councilman Domenico moved that the DiGiacomo <br />Annexation request be referred to Planning <br />Commission for further study. Seconded <br />by Councilman Fauson. Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />Councilman DelPizzo moved that Mr. Barr <br />be appointed as an Associate Member to <br />the Board of Adjustment and Appeals. <br />Seconded by Councilman Domenico. <br />Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl read Resolution No. 18, declaring <br />May 18, as Public Safety Day in Louisville. <br />It was noted that the fire department will <br />have an open house for persons to come <br />in and talk with the firemen and police. <br />Councilman Meier moved that Resolution <br />No. 18, Series 1980, be adopted. Seconded <br />by Councilman Carnival. Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />Mr. Bill Grier, 1404 Garfield Ct., stated <br />that a Mayflower moving van has been <br />parked across from his home in a re- <br />sidential area for long periods of time. <br />He stated that it is a safety hazard <br />not only to traffic, but also to pedis- <br />trians and school children who cross in <br />that area. <br />He noted that the police department had <br />given the man permission to park his <br />vehicle there; however, Mr. Grier requested <br />that the matter be checked into further. <br /> <br />Councilman Meier stated that he spoke with <br />the owner and the reason he keeps his truck <br />in that location is because he can keep <br />an eye on it as he has thousands of dollars <br />invested in it. <br />It was recommended that the party contact <br />the local shopping area and see if it would <br />be possible to park it in the parking lot <br />where it is well lighted. <br /> <br />After comments Council noted that they <br />would check into the matter further. <br />
