Minutes - page 2 March 4, 1980 POWDERHORN CONST. FINAL PAY EST. FILTER PLANT Mr. Wurl reported that notices of final payments have been made for Powderhorn, Diamond Contracting and Taylor Excavating. Councilman Caranci moved that Powderhorn Const. final pay est. in the amount of $24,989.39 be approved. Seconded by Councilman Fauson. Motion carried. 6-0. DIAMOND CONTRACTING FINAL PAY EST. FILTER PLANT Councilman DelPizzo moved that final pay- ment in the amount of $21,338.47 be approved. Seconded by Councilman Domenico. Motion carried 6-0. TAYLOR EXCAVATING FINAL PAY EST. METERS Councilman Meier moved that the final pay est. in the amount of $7,177.73 be approved for Taylor Excavating. Se- conded by Councilman Carnival. Motion carried 6-0. BARNETT WATER CONTRACT Mr. Wurl reported that this is for 1/2 share of water from Eugene Barnett the 1/2 share of stock is in the Marshall Lake Division of the Farmers Reservoir and Irrigation Co. Councilman Domenico moved that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to sign the agreement for 1/2 share of water from Eugene Barnett. Seconded by Councilman Fauson. Motion carried 6-0. AUDIENCE COMMENTS CABLE T.V. DISCUSSION Tom Meyer, 4551 Eldorado Spring Dr., gave a brief presentation of information he had received at the White House Conference on Library and Information Services. He stated that the two way capability allows not only entertainment, but communications, provisions of services, and also on commerce. He noted that under communications there is the potential to provide video tele- phone service, to be able to hold a con- ference without traveling, fire and se- curity services in the home and possibility of working at home. Under services: This would allow for com- UUnity services to be brought to the home. Commerce: Possible banking and shopping at home which would save on energy along with lowering the pollution.
