<br />Minutes - page 2 <br />March 4, 1980 <br /> <br />POWDERHORN CONST. <br />FINAL PAY EST. <br />FILTER PLANT <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl reported that notices of final <br />payments have been made for Powderhorn, <br />Diamond Contracting and Taylor Excavating. <br /> <br />Councilman Caranci moved that Powderhorn <br />Const. final pay est. in the amount of <br />$24,989.39 be approved. Seconded by <br />Councilman Fauson. Motion carried. 6-0. <br /> <br />DIAMOND CONTRACTING <br />FINAL PAY EST. <br />FILTER PLANT <br /> <br />Councilman DelPizzo moved that final pay- <br />ment in the amount of $21,338.47 be <br />approved. Seconded by Councilman <br />Domenico. Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />TAYLOR EXCAVATING <br />FINAL PAY EST. <br />METERS <br /> <br />Councilman Meier moved that the final <br />pay est. in the amount of $7,177.73 be <br />approved for Taylor Excavating. Se- <br />conded by Councilman Carnival. Motion <br />carried 6-0. <br /> <br />BARNETT WATER CONTRACT <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl reported that this is for 1/2 <br />share of water from Eugene Barnett <br />the 1/2 share of stock is in the Marshall <br />Lake Division of the Farmers Reservoir <br />and Irrigation Co. <br />Councilman Domenico moved that the Mayor <br />and City Clerk be authorized to sign the <br />agreement for 1/2 share of water from <br />Eugene Barnett. Seconded by Councilman <br />Fauson. Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />AUDIENCE COMMENTS <br />CABLE T.V. DISCUSSION <br /> <br />Tom Meyer, 4551 Eldorado Spring Dr., <br />gave a brief presentation of information <br />he had received at the White House Conference <br />on Library and Information Services. <br />He stated that the two way capability <br />allows not only entertainment, but <br />communications, provisions of services, <br />and also on commerce. <br />He noted that under communications there <br />is the potential to provide video tele- <br />phone service, to be able to hold a con- <br />ference without traveling, fire and se- <br />curity services in the home and possibility <br />of working at home. <br /> <br />Under services: This would allow for com- <br />UUnity services to be brought to the home. <br /> <br />Commerce: Possible banking and shopping <br />at home which would save on energy along <br />with lowering the pollution. <br />
