STAND BY GENERATOR CONTID LITTLE LEAGUE REPORT Minutes - page 6 March 4, 1980 Councilman Fauson then moved that the City go with Stewart-Stevenson Power, Inc. in the amount of $26,570. Seconded by Councilman Domenico. Motion carried 6-0. Dir. Parks & Rec. Stahl reported that he met with the coaches to discuss the fee structure and get suggestions in regards to the program, also that a list of all expenses for programs last year was included and that a survey was sent to parents of participants in last years program. He stated that about 41% responded to the survey. Mr. Stahl stated that in meeting with the coaches it was decided to keep the fees as low as possible, by fund raising pro- jects. He reported that the baseball fees have been set at $20, which will cut down on the new uniforms and equipment replacement and making it about a 52% City participation to 48% participant cost. It was noted that the banquet and the jackets that were previously supplied by the Little League Mothers Assoc. are not included in the about fee and Mr. Stahl recommended that some type of parent Ol:ganizat:iLon' be started up if coaches and'i parents feel these are necessary. Councilman Meier asked about checking on a closer league. Mr. Stahl stated that the City has checked into that possibility and can check it out further before the next budget session. Councilman Domenico stated that he also would like to see the City get into a league which is closer. Dennis Ferrera stated that they had been in one league with the surrounding areas a nd had trouble with the leagueand felt it would not be a good idea. Councilman Meier stated that he would like the staff to check into a parent organi- zation and have them and the coaches pro- vide input before the budget session be- gins. Councilman Carnival stated that he would like to have the coaches or sponsors in- put at the end of each program on what may be needed or replaced.
