<br />ACCEPTANCE OF REPORTS <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF BILLS <br /> <br />ANDERSON ASSOC. <br />APPRAISERS <br /> <br />CHARLES S. ROBINSON <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Minutes - page 12 <br />February 5, 1980 <br /> <br />Councilman Domenico moved that the Council <br />comments and committee reports be accepted <br />and placed on file. Seconded by Councilman <br />Meier. Motion carried. <br /> <br />City Treasurer Hesson read the bills totalling <br />$118,979.88. <br />Councilman Carnival stated that the finance <br />committee had three questions. <br />1. Centennial Engineering, Inc. $541.98 <br />why can't the City engineers department do <br />the work. <br />Mr. Wurl reported that some work in necessary <br />immediately and the City does not have the <br />crew and some of the projects are special <br />and require certain expertise and equipment. <br />Mr. Wurl also noted that our City Engineer <br />was hired at a different level than many <br />of these projects require. <br /> <br />Councilman Carnival asked why a local realtor <br />could not appraise the land and where it <br />was located. <br />Mr. Wurl reported that local realtor appraisals <br />do not hold the same value as an MIA appraisal <br />which is used for financing. The appraiser <br />is required to meet certain standards. <br /> <br />The property was land that the City put into <br />priority to acquire, the land in question <br />is adjacent to the sewer plant. <br /> <br />Councilman Carnival stated that the finance <br />committee were interested in knowing what <br />tests were made. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that the tests were done on <br />the 142 acres of sewer land and the buyer <br />will pay for the tests at closing. <br /> <br />After comments Councilman Caranci moved that <br />the bills be approved and checks issued for <br />the same. Seconded by Councilman Carnival. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Councilman Caranci moved that the meeting be <br />adjourned. Seconded by Councilman Domenico. <br />Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at <br />11:15 P.M. <br />
