<br />CITY HALL REMODELING <br />FINANCING <br /> <br />CALL FOR BIDS <br /> <br />RESCHEDULE OF COUNCIL <br />MEETING <br /> <br />LEASE AGREEMENT FOR <br />SULLIVAN BUILDING DURING <br />REMODELING <br /> <br />Minutes - page 6 <br />September 18, 1979 <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl reported that Jinco leasing was <br />the low bidder and requested Council's <br />authority to authorize the City Attorney <br />to prepare an ordinance for the leasing. <br />Councilman Berry stated that his sheet <br />showed Boettcher as the low bidder. <br />Mr. Wurl suggested that the 20 year lease <br />be approved. <br />After con~ents Councilman Caranci moved <br />that the bid be awarded to Boettcher & Co. <br />for a 15 year lease. Seconded by Coun- <br />cilman Berry. <br />City Attorney Joss commented on the state- <br />ment that if financial trouble arose, there <br />would be leins placed on homes within the <br />City. He stated that this would not be <br />possible and also that the City would be <br />entering into a lease agreement which does <br />not necessitate a bond issue or a vote of <br />the people because no money is being <br />borrowed. <br />After comments Council voted in favor of <br />the motion. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that the plan states that <br />the bid opening and tabulation be held on <br />October 31, 1979 and submitted at the <br />first Council meeting in November for <br />action. <br /> <br />Councilman Berry moved that the November <br />6, 1979, Council meeting which falls on <br />Election Day be rescheduled for November <br />7, 1979. Seconded by Councilman Meier. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that the discussion with <br />the architect brought up the choice of <br />working around the remodeling or moving <br />to a temporary location, and it was Mr. <br />Hillhouse's recommendation that the offices <br />be moved while the remodeling is underway. <br />Mr. Hillhouse stated that after talking <br />with contractors they felt that the addi- <br />tional time would cost additional money <br />and it would be just as economical to <br />move temporarily. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that the lease would be <br />$2,000 perrnontll and that there would be <br />some movable walls installed to make up <br />the offices. <br />After discussion Councilman Meier moved <br />that the Mayor be authorized to sign the <br />lease agreement and Attorney Joss be <br />
