<br />Minutes - page 4 <br />July 3, 1979 <br /> <br />MARIETTA HAFNER CONT'D <br /> <br />Councilman Berry stated that he would <br />like the attorney to check and see what <br />rights Louisville has on matters per- <br />taining to Empire Road. <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY REPORT <br />SPECIAL EVENTS LIQUOR <br />LICENSE APPLICATION <br />LUKEMIA SOCIETY <br /> <br />Attorney Joss reported that the Lukemia <br />Society of America has applied for a <br />3.2% beer license for August 4, 1979 <br />at Miners Field. He stated that the <br />application is in order and that a <br />public hearing is recommended for <br />July 17, 1979. Councilman Meier moved <br />the notice bE! published and_the. ~puhlic <br />hearing be set for July 17, 1979, for <br />the Lukemia Socity special events liquor <br />license application. Seconded by Coun- <br />cilman DiCarlo. Motion carried. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 651 <br />FIRST READING <br />WATER TAP FEE INCREASE <br /> <br />All members of Council had before them <br />a copy of Ordinance No. 651 for their <br />review and files. <br />Attorney Joss read the ordinance on <br />first reading by title only, stating <br />the the increase would be $2,200. <br />Councilman DE~lPizzo voiced his disapproval <br />of the increase. <br />Mr. Hurl responded stating that until in- <br />flation stops, the City must continue to <br />increase their fees in order to pur- <br />chase necessary materials as well as <br />water rights to facilitate new devel- <br />opments. <br />Councilman Caranci moved that <br />No. 651 be ordered published. <br />by Councilman Kilker. Notion <br />by a vote of 4 - 2. <br /> <br />Ordinance <br />Seconded <br />carried <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 652 <br />FIRST READING <br />PAY SCHEDULE ih~D <br />EMPLOYEE CLASSIFICATION <br /> <br />All members of Council had before them <br />a copy of Ordinance No. 652 for their <br />review and files. <br />Attorney Joss read the ordinance on <br />first reading by title only. <br />Councilman DelPizzo moved that Ordinance <br />No. 652 be ordered published. Seconded <br />by Councilman Meier. <br />Councilman Berry stated that he was not <br />in favor of straight across the board <br />pay raises. <br />After discussion motion carried to pub- <br />lish Ordinance No. 652. <br />
