Minutes - page 4 July 3, 1979 MARIETTA HAFNER CONT'D Councilman Berry stated that he would like the attorney to check and see what rights Louisville has on matters per- taining to Empire Road. CITY ATTORNEY REPORT SPECIAL EVENTS LIQUOR LICENSE APPLICATION LUKEMIA SOCIETY Attorney Joss reported that the Lukemia Society of America has applied for a 3.2% beer license for August 4, 1979 at Miners Field. He stated that the application is in order and that a public hearing is recommended for July 17, 1979. Councilman Meier moved the notice bE! published and_the. ~puhlic hearing be set for July 17, 1979, for the Lukemia Socity special events liquor license application. Seconded by Coun- cilman DiCarlo. Motion carried. ORDINANCE NO. 651 FIRST READING WATER TAP FEE INCREASE All members of Council had before them a copy of Ordinance No. 651 for their review and files. Attorney Joss read the ordinance on first reading by title only, stating the the increase would be $2,200. Councilman DE~lPizzo voiced his disapproval of the increase. Mr. Hurl responded stating that until in- flation stops, the City must continue to increase their fees in order to pur- chase necessary materials as well as water rights to facilitate new devel- opments. Councilman Caranci moved that No. 651 be ordered published. by Councilman Kilker. Notion by a vote of 4 - 2. Ordinance Seconded carried ORDINANCE NO. 652 FIRST READING PAY SCHEDULE ih~D EMPLOYEE CLASSIFICATION All members of Council had before them a copy of Ordinance No. 652 for their review and files. Attorney Joss read the ordinance on first reading by title only. Councilman DelPizzo moved that Ordinance No. 652 be ordered published. Seconded by Councilman Meier. Councilman Berry stated that he was not in favor of straight across the board pay raises. After discussion motion carried to pub- lish Ordinance No. 652.
