Minutes - page 7 June 5, 1979 COUNTY CONSORTIUM OF CITIES MEETING Mr. Wurl stated that at the last meeting COG was discussed. He stated that the discussion on COG will be held again at the next meeting and Councilman Meier wants a note as to the City's desires. Council concurred that they wanted to continue on with DRCOG and not establish a Boulder C01mty COG. WATER RUNOFF Councilman DelPizzo stated that Steve Harney was upset with the excessive water that collected in his field. Mr. Wurl stated that the City was not re- sponsible for the water that came through as the ditch broke and that was where the excessive water came from. He pointed out that the City was not responsible for the ditch breaking. WEEDS NORTH OF VILLAGE SQUARE SHOPPING CENTER Councilman DelPizzo stated that he was telephoned by Alan Scarpella about the weeds behind his fence. Mr. Wurl stated that the matter would be turned over to the Parks Dept. Mr. Stahl stated that one of the pro- blems was that a tractor has not come in and this is partly the delay. Mr. Stahl stated that a person should not poison the weeds in the green belt, as they may use a chemical that is out- dated and the poison could get into the ditch which would cause problems. Councilman DelPizzo stated that Mrs. Jensen telephoned him about the doors on the units being approximately 2" short. Mr. Anderson was in attendance and stated that the screen door is the door that is short and a metal strip is now being made to remedy the problem. Councilman DiCarlo asked that the Code Enforcement officer start making rounds and contact some property owners about their junk and weeds. DOORS AT ELDERLY HOUSING PROJECT WEEDS
