Mr. Colbern stated that the cost for the remodeling will be approximately $20/sq.ft. the additional construction of the first and second floor will be about $35-$40/ sq. ft. and the basement area will be approximately $10-$15/sq.ft. Councilman DiCarlo stated that he was not happy with the size of the proposed Coun- cil chambers. He felt that more space should be provided for the seating. It was suggested that the plans be studied by Council and a work session be held to answer any questions and to hear all comments. TRUCK BID AWARDS Mr. Wurl reported that bids were received for the dump trucks and the pickup trucks. As a package Arnold Bros. Ford was low at $70,727.75. As separates, Mike Gage Chev- rolet was low on two pickups, Fischer Chevrolet was low on two pickups with service bodies and Mountain Motors was low on the dump truck, with the total cost at $67,518.25. Councilman Kilker moved that the truck bids be awarded in the amount of $67,518.25. Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. Roll call. DelPizzo no, Berry yes, Kilker yes, DiCarlo yes, Caranci yes, Meier yes. Motion carried. STREET SWEEPTER Mr. Wurl stated that staff had earlier requested to bid a water wagon, but since they had found that a street sweeper is needed. He requested authority to call for bids on a new street sweeper. Councilman Berry moved that the City Ad- ministrator be authorized to call for bids for a new street sweeper. Seconded by Councilman Meier. Motion carried. LAWN MOWER Mr. Wurl stated that the Parks & Rec. Director has called for bids on the mower and recommends that Council approve the low bidder Jacobson in the amount of $4,961. The other bidder was Toro in the amount of $6,200.
