<br />Mir.utes - page 4 <br />March 6,1979 <br /> <br />CITY HALL EXPANSION <br />CONTINUED <br /> <br />Councilman Berry asked about the cost per <br />foot. <br />Mr. Colbern stated that the cost for the <br />remodeling will be approximately $20/sq.ft. <br />the additional construction of the first <br />and second floor will be about $35-$40/ <br />sq. ft. and the basement area will be <br />approximately $10-$15/sq.ft. <br /> <br />Councilman DiCarlo stated that he was not <br />happy with the size of the proposed Coun- <br />cil chambers. He felt that more space <br />should be provided for the seating. <br />It was suggested that the plans be studied <br />by Council and a work session be held <br />to answer any questions and to hear all <br />comments. <br /> <br />TRUCK BID AWARDS <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl reported that bids were received <br />for the dump trucks and the pickup trucks. <br />As a package Arnold Bros. Ford was low at <br />$70,727.75. As separates, Mike Gage Chev- <br />rolet was low on two pickups, Fischer <br />Chevrolet was low on two pickups with <br />service bodies and Mountain Motors was <br />low on the dump truck, with the total cost <br />at $67,518.25. <br />Councilman Kilker moved that the truck <br />bids be awarded in the amount of $67,518.25. <br />Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. <br />Roll call. DelPizzo no, Berry yes, Kilker <br />yes, DiCarlo yes, Caranci yes, Meier yes. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />STREET SWEEPTER <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that staff had earlier <br />requested to bid a water wagon, but since <br />they had found that a street sweeper is <br />needed. He requested authority to call <br />for bids on a new street sweeper. <br />Councilman Berry moved that the City Ad- <br />ministrator be authorized to call for <br />bids for a new street sweeper. Seconded <br />by Councilman Meier. Motion carried. <br /> <br />LAWN MOWER <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that the Parks & Rec. <br />Director has called for bids on the mower <br />and recommends that Council approve the <br />low bidder Jacobson in the amount of <br />$4,961. The other bidder was Toro in the <br />amount of $6,200. <br />Councilman Kilker moved that the City <br />purchase the Jacobson mower in the amount <br />
