Gatto added that he
would like to see the slides. Betzhold directed Schlaepfer to present the slides concerning public feedback.
Berry asked where the public feedback came from. Betzhold clarified that outreach the City of Louisville did, it
was in the June and July Economic Vitality newsletter, in City communications, a news item on website, and
hosting public meetings as well as social media. Public feedback was from the survey.
Schlaepfer presented results from the public survey to date. The majority is from homeowners, only 30% of
respondents were from the commercial sector. The main overall concern is cost; cost to builders and tenants as
well as driving business away from Louisville. The second most concern was builders' lack of knowledge
regarding new technology. The most common benefit was fighting climate change.
RW
Kcy Takeaways
What's the most important
consideration for the City in adopting stricter energy codes for residential and
commercial construction?
Balancing the "Other" Write-in Responses
-
need to
address .
