Linden St. from Taft Ct to Washington Ave with Replacement of 400' of waterline (Alternate 2) Water Treatment Plant. Connect water recycle and backwash waterline at Sid Copeland Water Treatment Plant (Alternate 3) Valve Replacements. Replace 5 water valves throughout the City. 2022205 Goodland Construction 104th Street Trail Connection Project $1,514,763.75 The construction award is for Phase 1 construction of the Trail. Phase 1 will construct the trail from the northern connection at the Coal Creek Trail to approximately 1,500' north of the Stearns Lake Trailhead located on 104th Street at the Rock Creek Trail. The first IGA amendment agreed to split the project into two phases due to the increasing project costs. Phase 2 is the last 1,500' to connect to Stearns Lake Trailhead. Phase 2 of the project has costly Right -of -Way and wetland/environmental constraints that weren't originally anticipated. Phase 2 design is currently budgeted within the First Amendment to the IGA. However, Boulder County has expressed the potential for paving 104th Street south of Dillon Rd. If the County decides to move forward with the paving project, this would potentially be a significant benefit to Phase 2 of the trail project. 2022206 Rocksol Consulting Group Inc. 104th Street Trail Connection - Consulting Services $204,597.34 Construction Management of the 104th St. Trail Connection Project Staff is recommending City Council authorize staff award a contract for the construction of a screening fence for the property owner of Groundwork Ranch Equine property located at 104333 Dillon Rd. As part of negotiations with neighbors to support this project, it was agreed the project will provide a visual barrier between the trail and the property due to the sensitive nature of the equine assisted programs managed by the property. The new fence will have a vertical wood picket fence that is 6' high with a 4.5' sections every 25' to provide view corridor for the property. 2022208 Colorado Christmas Lights Christmas Lights display and decorations for Downtown and City buildings $66,503.00 2022209 Marquez Fencing Community Park - Dog Park Fence Installation $47,439.00 Now that the dogs are no longer using the pond, staff plans to reopen the area by removing the fence around the pond. Irrigation and sod will be installed around the irrigation pond, a crusher fine trail, an additional bench and large rocks for seating. The existing fence around the dog park is warped and requires replacement, so the fencing will be replaced. The existing dog park itself will be reinvigorated to increase overall quality, improve maintenance and present a visual and enjoyable passive use area for the public.
