Report from Sharon Nemechek, Director of Cultural Services: <br />Sharon reported that City staff members who are liaisons to the <br />boards and commissions are being asked to ask if there are <br />suggestions for the City Council work plan for 2023. Any items from <br />boards and commissions to suggest to add to the work plan are due <br />on December 1st, so this will be added to the agenda for the <br />November meeting. Also, Sharon stated that there have been <br />meetings about events planned for the one year Marshall Fire <br />commemoration. <br />VII. Report from Bridget Bacon, Museum Services Supervisor: <br />A. Museum Services Supervisor's written report: In addition to the <br />written report, Bridget noted that we are well into Louisville History <br />month and the vintage base ball game has been the main event with <br />over 300 people in attendance. <br />B. Updates on Museum operations & projects: Museum staff <br />member Gigi Yang set up the exhibit for "Louisville's Signs of the <br />Times" in the Library for Louisville History Month. Also, the Museum <br />will have its first inside school field trip since 2019 on Sept. 23rd <br />C. Approval of Deeds of Gifts from donors: The Commission <br />approved accepting the following donations by vote of 4 to 0: <br />1. Clair Beckmann — photo of the Louisville Bank Building (now the <br />Huckleberry Restaurant), circa early 1900s. <br />2. Connie Giles — items relating to B. Frank Giles, who served in World <br />War I from Louisville. <br />3. Rebecca Slusarchyk — handmade signs of hope and thanks that <br />residents created and that were hung on a fence at Pine & Owl in <br />Louisville following the Marshall Fire. <br />4. Barbara DiSalle — photo showing a Louisville Labor Day Parade with <br />the Historical Museum in the background, circa early 1990s. Parade <br />organizer Lawrence Enrietto is also seen in the photo. <br />5. Carol Williams — items from Centaurus High School in the early <br />1980s, including school newspapers, football programs, and a booklet <br />on the school's sports programs. <br />6. Laurinda Miller Sturr — photos and papers from the Ralph Clinton <br />Miller and Welcome Miller Henning family. <br />7.
