LL ity°f CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION <br />.. <br />Louisville AGENDA ITEM 2 <br />COLORADO • SINCE 1878 <br />SUBJECT: DISCUSSION — ACCESSORY DWELLING UNITS <br />DATE: NOVEMBER 7, 2022 <br />PRESENTED BY: ROB ZUCCARO, AICP, COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />DIRECTOR <br />SUMMARY: <br />Staff is presenting a study session on Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs), including a <br />review of common policy considerations and ordinances from surrounding communities. <br />An ADU is a separate, complete dwelling unit located on the same lot as a principal <br />dwelling unit (typically occupied by a separate household and has its own entrance and <br />its own cooking and bathroom facilities). An ADU is typically limited to single-family <br />residential lots and is subordinate to the principal dwelling unit in size and design.
