Staff finds that
the grant request meets all criteria.
Under Resolution No. 17, Series 2019, approved work must fall under relevant
categories.
Resolution No. 17, Series 2019 allows for the exceeding of grant limitations:
"These grant limitations may be exceeded upon a showing of extraordinary
circumstances relating to building size, condition, architectural details, or other
unique condition compared to similar Louisville properties."
Staff Recommendations (Grant):
Staff recommends approval of Resolution No. 3, Series 2022, recommending
approval of the grant request in the amount of $100,875.
Commissioner Questions of Staff:
None is heard.
Applicant Presentation:
Andy Johnson, DAJ Design, 922 Main St
Johnson begins his presentation by showing photos of the house based on the
assessor's records and personal older photos of the outside and inside of the
house. The home had original siding but overtime, the siding got asbestos so
some of the interior had to be replaced. He shows an as -built drawing of the west
elevation facing Jefferson Ave. The entire footprint and structure is original.
There have been no additions.
He shows photos of the existing conditions and the pre and post demolition. They
unveiled stucco when they demoed the siding. He also shows photos of the
interior house. There was no insulation installed. The framing techniques were
very unique. The studs went through the floor structure. The foundation is a
concrete foundation that is deteriorating due to water.
10
