Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />November 07, 2022 <br />Page 7 of 11 <br />Staff recommends denial of Resolution No. 5, Series 2022, approving the <br />Alteration Certificate. <br />Staff has also provided a version for approval in the staff packet. <br />Staff Presentation (Grant: <br />The applicant is requesting approval of a Preservation and Restoration Grant. <br />The total grant request is $40,000. The grant would be matching. Staff finds that <br />the grant request meets all criteria. <br />Under Resolution No. 17, Series 2019, approved work must fall under relevant <br />categories. <br />Staff Recommendations (G <br />Staff recommends approval of Resolution No. 6, Series 2022, recommending <br />approval of the grant request in the amount of $40,000. <br />Commissioner Questions of Staff. <br />None is heard. <br />Applicant Presentation: <br />Jessica Thompson, 2729 Meadow Mountain Trail, Lafayette, CO 80026 <br />Thompson explains what all is being removed and what the vision is for their re- <br />design. <br />Leilani Loepp, 5303 Spine Rd, Boulder, CO 80301 <br />Loepp mentions that it is very important to the property owners to keep the <br />structure as it is. They are maintaining the same material such as the trim work <br />and siding. The house is not centered on the lot so in order to get the square <br />footage they needed, we needed to make it wider than the existing home. she <br />asks the commission to not have a full denial but allow them to re -design some <br />portions of the design such as the area that will be encroaching on that setback. <br />Commissioner Questions of Applicant. - <br />Burg says it is 24 feet from north to south. What is it from east to west? <br />Thompson says it is approximately 29 feet. <br />Burg asks how much space there would be from the back of the house to the <br />front of the garage. <br />Loepp says it is approximately 19 feet. <br />Dunlap asks if there is an alternative proposal from the applicant. <br />Brackett Hogstad says we do not have an alternative proposal. That would have <br />to be a continuance. <br />Haley says she is not concerned with the setback but is concerned about the <br />new taking away from the original. She is concerned about the scaling and mass. <br />14 <br />
