Parks & Public Landscaping Advisory Board <br />Minutes <br />DATE <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />community. The endless hours that Shelly has dedicated to working <br />on Parks and Public Landscaping improvements initiatives have made <br />a difference in the community and we would like to acknowledge your <br />commitment. Your ideas, inputs, and keen interests in the parks have <br />helped us provide more enjoyable spaces for our community and <br />visitors. Thank you to Shelly for your contribution, time and hard work <br />and dedication to the Parks and Public Landscaping Advisory Board. <br />Thank you for 11 years of service, you will be missed! Ellen: Thank <br />you Shelly for the past 11 years, you are very welcome to attend future <br />meetings as a guest. <br />Board Updates - <br />A. Shannon: Stephen and Shannon attended a joint meeting with the <br />Recreation Advisory Board. `Louisville Rising' attended the meeting <br />and presented a statue to place in memoriam of the pets lost in the <br />Marshall Fire. Joint meeting discussed RAB priorities: <br />i. Tennis Courts: Centennial Courts and Mission Green Court <br />ii. Pickleball Courts: Address community interest in community <br />sport <br />iii. Coal Creek Golf Course: Support for a new club house, <br />bathroom <br />iv. Soccer/Multi-Purpose Fields <br />1. Address a long-time need for community <br />2. Identify land for field(s) <br />v. Sports Complex: Consider improvements to parking lot <br />vi. Maintenance Projects <br />1. Centennial and Pirate Park Tennis Courts <br />2. Community Park basketball back boards <br />vii. Identify a key staff person that will be responsible for <br />overseeing tennis, pickleball and our city fields and advocate <br />for success of facilities <br />B. Deb Fahey added that there is community interest in bathrooms at <br />all facilities and having covered Pickleball courts <br />C. Patricia met with the Open Space Advisory Board: <br />i. Research into dog parks and how other communities <br />address dog park needs. <br />ii. Second meeting planned for early 2023 to discuss further <br />iii. Ellen: Where is OSAB with the dog off -leash area [at <br />Davidson Mesa]: feedback from City Council was that the off <br />leash area would remain for the foreseeable future. <br />Patricia: Does the city do surveys pertaining to community use? It is hard to <br />quantify use as percentages of residents. Shelly: Erie has built multi -purpose <br />tennis/pickleball and in -line skating/pickleball areas. Deb: Tennis associations will <br />
