LURA REHAB GUIDELINES COUNCIL COMMENTS & COMMITTEE REPORTS Mr. Wurl reported that they are checking on prices and should have a report at the next meeting. Mr. Wurl reported that the bid that was received was way over the estimate and also that there has been problems in ob- taining concrete. He recommended that the Council either reject the bid and authorize staff to negotiate with a contractor to get the work done or delay the project until the next year. Councilman Kilker moved that the work be carried over to next year. Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. Roll call. Kilker yes, DelPizzo yes, Caranci yes, DiCarlo yes. Motion carried. Mr. Wurl reported that the preliminary plans for the remodeling were not avail- able for the meeting. Mr. Wurl reported that the specs for water meters have been prepared, pipe line re- placement, meter piping and construction of the dam at the reservoir are complete and bids have been called for September 28, 1978. A tenative date has been set with FHA to call for bids on the filter plant expansion on October 18, 1978. Mr. Wurl stated that the rehabilitation assistance guidelines have been adopted by LURA and they are asking for Councils review. If there are any comments, LURA should be informed as they will be pre- senting the guidelines to HUD for approval. Mr. Wurl reviewed correspondence. Councilman DiCarlo moved that the City Administrators report be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Councilman DelPizzo. Motion carried. Mayor Waschak stated that the work session for the 1979 budget is scheduled for September 14, 1978, at 7:30 P.M., City Hall.
