ORDINANCE NO. 608 FIRST READING MARKEL REZONING ORDINANCE NO. 609 FIRST READING AMENDMENTS TO SUBDIVISION PROCESS ORDINANCE NO. 610 FIRST READING AMENDING EMPLOYEE CLASSIFICATIONS & SALARY August 15, 1978 Minutes - page 5 Attorney Joss reported that all members of Council had before them a copy of the ordinance for their review and files. He then read the ordinance on first reading by title only stating that this matter was considered by the Planning Commission and recommended by them that the request be denied. Mr. Drumm elaborated on the request stating that the building has been in commercial use for 25 years and was rezoned in 1973 to R-M because it was not contiguous to the downtown commercial development. Some questions were brought up in regards to the setting of a public hearing, and was clarified with the statement that if the ordinance is not ordered published then there would not be need for a public hearing. After discussion Councilman Caranci moved that Ordinance #608 be denied. Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. Roll call. Kilker yes, Caranci yes, DelPizzo yes, Meier yes, DiCarlo yes. Motion carried to deny Ordinance #608 All members of Council had before them a copy of the ordinance for their review and files. Attorney Joss read the ordinance on first reading by title only. Councilman Caranci moved that Ordinance No. 609 be ordered published seconded by Councilman DelPizzo. Motion carried. Councilman DiCarlo moved that~the public hearing for Ordinance #609 be set for September 19, 1978. Seconded by Council- man Meier. Motion carried. All members of Council had before them a copy of Ordinance #610 for their review and files. Attorney Joss read the Ordinance on first reading by title only. Councilman Caranci moved that Ordinance No. 610 be tabled. Seconded by Council- man DiCarlo. Roll call DelPizzo yes, Caranci yes, DiCarlo yes, Meier no, Kilker no. Motion carried.
